Day 21: ” Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; but whoever blasphemes the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin.” Mark 3:28-29
All the sins of man are forgiven. Even when we get angry at God and curse Him, He forgives us. Even when we take His Precious Name in vain, He forgives us. I have no idea what blaspheming the Holy Spirit is, no one has successfully told me what that is. Bur I would venture to say that Satan did it.
What we are to do is repent. The unrepentant sin is not forgiven because we have not asked for it or we have failed to recognize it as sin. That is why I always ask that God forgive me of all my sins even the ones that I am unaware of. The key is that the Son of God has offered the forgiveness of the Father for the sins of the sons of men.
I am but a mortal man, I sin in your name and I seek the forgiveness that the Father offers. I seek to know how I have sinned against you and pray, Dear Lord that I will not sin again. You say that all my sins are forgiven and I welcome Your Grace. You say that even if I blaspheme You, Still You forgive. Let my heart be made pure so that I would never again tale lightly Your Name. Amen.
Day 22: “You will tell his people how to find salvation through forgiveness of their sins. Because of God’s tender mercy, the light from heaven is about to break upon us.” Luke 1:77-78
Zachariah’s prophetic prayer for his son John is a prayer that we are witness to even in this day. As believers and followers of the message of friendship of Christ, we continue today to preach the Good News that Christ is at hand and His Forgiveness is the Salvation of Man.
Because of the tender mercy of the Father God of All, we have but to ask, and it will be given. The Light of Salvation is upon all who seek and accept His forgiveness. It is not just to say that we believe, it is to say and believe that we are forgiven. Salvation is the forgiveness, Forgiveness is the salvation.
O LORD Most High, I praise you and thank you for the salvation of forgiveness that you brought into the world by the Son Most High, Christ, Jesus. By the Grace and Mercy given to me, undeserving as I am, I promise to share the Good News of this mercy so that others might enjoy the Salvation given to me. Amen
Day 23: ” Brothers, listen! In this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins. Everyone who believes in him is freed from all guilt and declares right with God – something Jewish law could never do.” Acts 13: 38-39
What a joy it is to believe that Jesus is the source of the Forgiveness of the guilt of man’s sins. We are free top walk in a path of right living, made whole by the grace of the Father, given to us through Christ.
As much as the law of the God directs us to the path of right living, it is the forgiveness of God that frees us from the guilt of sin. The Law of God is the Love of God but the Forgiveness is only from Jesus. He removes the guilt of our sin, he is the atonement that the law can’t provide.
Blessed is the Name of Jesus by whom my guilt is removed. Blessed is the Power of His Mercy, given to us by the Love of the Father. Praise His Name above all other names because he is the the grace the recovers what was lost. Amen
Day 24: “But Peter and the apostles answered and said, ‘We must obey God rather than men. The God of the fathers raised up Jesus, whom you had put on the cross. He is the one whom God has exalted to his Right Hand as a Prince and a Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and the forgiveness of sins.’” Acts 5:29-31
Peter and the apostles address the Jews in Jerusalem but it must be remembered that OUR SINS placed Christ on the cross. It was that the sins of all men be forgiven, not just those of Israel. The God of Abraham. Issac and Jacob sent His own Son who is one in the same as Himself, as the sacrifice of atonement and His blood is on our hands.
Yet God did this to show that repentance is the desire of God. Jesus died that we might be able to repent and be reconciled with the Father of Creation. As Jesus is the Prince of Man and the Son of the Most High, no greater gift can be given to mankind but that we are forgiven and carry no burden befor God.
Not just for the sins of Israel, but for my sins did You come down from Your Throne in Heaven. You are the Prince of Salvation, freeing me from my past. Let me live in your Word, Your Grace and Your Mercy from this day forward. Amen.
Day 25: “Peter said to them, ‘Repent, and each of you be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’” Acts 2:38
What a blessing it is to be accepted by God! Repent and be baptized, and receive the Holy Spirit! NO special rituals, no outlandish hoops to jump, just repent and accept the cleaning grace of Christ, and you shall be filled with the Spirit of God. In the Name of Jesus, you are forgiven of the offences that have been committed against God. That action alone allows the Holy Spirit to be a part of your life from that moment on.
Having been baptized in the Name of Jesus by water is only the outward sign of the remittance of sins and the confession of the heart. In of itself it is nothing more that water, but by the words spoken that we accept that God; Father, Son and Spirit, have completed the work of the promise of God. Now we begin a new life. One that God has planned from the first creation.
By the Spirit of God, the Words of Jesus, and the Promise of the Father in Heaven, I resolve to sin no more. I strive to live in the forgiveness of God and seek to be the conduit of His forgiveness as Christ forgave me. Fill my life and my mind with Your abundant Grace and Wisdom that I might live a life without blame or shame. Grant me the power to serve in obedience forever. Amen
